As a teacher
After graduating from the Institute of Education, Stockholm in 1975 I chose to become a middle school teacher. Although committed to teaching, since then I have worked enthusiastically in many capacities with pedagogical developments in science teaching.

Awakening interest in the natural sciences
I have had a particular interest in exploring new ways of teaching science to school children in lower and middle school. I have worked on finding simple but effective and engaging ways to awaken children's interest in science.

Further training for teachers
After teaching for 20 years, I had the opportunity to contribute to the continuing professional development of teachers.
I developed a series of courses called “Concrete Techniques for Teaching the Natural Sciences”. I offered them, for a few years, at one school. Subsequently I was offered a position at the Institute of Education, Stockholm, where I was eventually promoted to Senior Lecturer.
 

Books
During my teaching career, I have written nine books, including textbooks, information (non fiction) books and teachers' guides.
